What is SoulCollage®?

Using images, scissors, glue, and mat board, participants make personal collaged cards which are then "consulted" through card readings with questions that matter to them about their lives.

I have been engaged in the SoulCollage® process since 2006 and my life continues to transform itself into deeper wholeness and awakening . . . the more I delve into the SoulCollage process, the more I learn about myself . . . and the more I learn about myself, the closer I am drawn to that place in life where God is calling me to be.

If you are looking for an empowering method of self expression, one that's fun, hands-on, and easy to integrate into your life, then please read on. I would love to share this simple, meaningful, creative process with you or your group! No artistic experience is required.

As a SoulCollage® Facilitator, I am passionate about helping individuals and groups discover a deeper connection to their inner and outer worlds, in a safe and supportive environment. Each one of my SoulCollage® cards represents an inner part of my life, and each card holds a story. I have found the SoulCollage® process to be simple, yet profound, and has offered me greater self-awareness, enhanced intuition, and guidance to answer questions I have about my life journey. You are invited to experience the transformative power of SoulCollage® with me by letting me know more about your group.

Anyone can benefit from the SoulCollage process. When practiced in groups, it expands our awareness of ourselves and others as we meet in true connection. The process has been shared in churches, hospitals, prisons, community groups, private homes, and support groups, to name a few.

My Soul's Prayer

by Audrey Chowdhury, SoulCollage® Facilitator

The "answers" and "guidance" I receive from my cards is profound; all I need to do is ask a question. . . depending on what's going on in my life at the time, the response I receive is insightful, and oftentimes, transformative.  It's the images, chosen by you, that are doing the talking !

You will love making SoulCollage® cards, love finding their meaning, and love sharing them with others. The deck becomes your visual journal. When you hold your cards in your hands, it is like holding up a reflection of your many-faceted self.
~ Seena Frost (Founder of SoulCollage®)

Each card is a mirror of self and soul

The SoulCollage® process is an on-going journey of self-discovery ... a tool to incorporate into our lives for cultivating a new relationship with ourselves to celebrate, discover, and validate all our different parts, both the parts we honor and the parts we might want to ignore! Seena Frost, the founder of the SoulCollage® process, says in her book SoulCollage® An Intuitive Collage Process for Individuals and Groups, "The SoulCollage® process makes the shadow visible."  Discovering our own light and shadow parts helps us tell our stories, to ourselves and to each other.

When we recognize and name our different parts through collage making, we start to have a better understanding of the power of guides, allies, and challengers in our lives. The result is surprising transformation, healing, and increased compassion for self and others.

The Community Suit (My Tribe)

These cards honor the people and pets in our lives that we love and who love and support us. Community members can be family, friends, ancestors, colleagues, teachers, pets...they can be living or dead, or people you know only through their art, writing, or unique contribution to the world. We try and capture the particular energy that the person, animal, or group emits.

Speaking from my Community Suit Card at left:

I am one who loves Rainbow, our beloved black lab, and thanks her for her loyalty and service in supporting a wounded veteran, and later in her life, for sharing her love with our family.

The Committee Suit

We make cards to represent parts of our personality. Some personality parts come to mind right away because they are quite conscious; other parts may take time to reveal themselves. Examples of personality parts are: The Inner Critic, The Procrastinator, The Rebel, The Jealous One, The Computer Whiz, The Hurt Child, The Gardener.

Speaking from my Committee Suit card at left:

I am one who is the energizer and runs with the wind at my back, with boundless energy to expend.

The Council Suit

These cards represent the universal archetypes that are guiding our lives. Examples of archetypes are: The Creator, The Warrior, The Great Mother, Crone, The Fool. This suit honors the themes such as death, love, courage, seeker, dreamer, greed, forgiveness, compassion, and waterbearer, to name a few.

Speaking from my Council Suit card at left:

I am one who is a perpetual seeker, guided by my love of life and the mysteries that lie ahead. I look to find glimpses of God in my ordinary comings and goings.

The Companion Suit

Through guided visualization, we work to uncover animal companions, living and working in each of our seven chakras, the seven energy centers of our body. There is meaning and power in the animals that emerge. Connecting with these animal energies and recognizing their messages helps us discover the special wisdom that earthly creatures have and how their energies help to vitalize us.

Speaking from my Companion Suit card at left:

I am one who is carried by the white dove to a place of freedom, a place where I can free myself from the clutches of grief.
